Cooking time with Joseph

It is Sunday. Typical day to bond with the kids.
I thought of  a picnic in the garden. Eating together is our simple way to bond.
So I sent my son, Joseph, to buy ingredients for  Nilagang Baboy.
After gathering everything  he needed, he started cooking it.
He cooked it on charcoal (while watching "The Expendables" on his lappy) under the mango tree.

Instruction:
  1.  Place pork in a big pot and let it covered with water. Bring to a boil.
  2. Lower the heat and let it simmer until pork is tender for about an hour.
  3.  Remove all the resulting scum that will rise to the top of the pot.
  4.  Add crushed garlic, sliced onions, scallions, peppercorn and season with salt.
  5. Add quartered  (if using) and potatoes. Cook until tender.
  6.  Add the saba.

We had fun sipping hot soup in a hot weather. And nothing can beat the fun of being together.

Bon Appetit!
